Day 26 - balancing act night...

Does it matter if these people doubt you?

When the one person who knows you better than all of them (yourself) doesn't?

We are taught to live behind these masks and walk around as actors performing the stories of our lives as we go....... 

Those masks are with the motive of protect us from other people seeing our vulnerability. 

We want to hide our weaknesses from people and appear as strong and got-it-together as possible. So we spend time and energy wasting it on appearances, conforming to norms and living up to standards that were not set by ourselves... why do we go to all that trouble?

We are comfortable with walking around hiding ourselves from each other because we fear rejection.

Most of it we do in order to ensure we get accepted because who wants to be standing on their own all alone? is that even natural??.... being alone??

But these masks do a very good job in keeping us divided, existing as a connection barrier between people keeping the distance between you and me alive and kicking...

Language, ethics, masks, image and peoples expectations are all things that perpetuate the great divide and wall that stands between us as a race of people. When we speak to each to each other we never really hear anything but words and layers. The rules and conventions that we live within that we think help order our society are all things that make us live in separate compartments from each other.

So we end up as dummies that just walk around everywhere fueled by external forces with no relationship with ourselves and no relationship with the natural environment around us. 

Initiated into the highest orders through your dreams, you begin to realise that there really is something special about you but you need to figure out exactly what that 'special thing' is...

In the last 2 years of my life away from the influence of family and friends. I learnt that you can never have a good relationship with anybody else if you don't have a good relationship with yourself. So I was at that place...
