Week5 Chapter5 - The distinctive difference.

To continue putting in work building into the skin of your project and making it come alive is no easy task - That's the kind of magic that we can master as human beings, but it has it's ups and downs with plenty of challenges for going into a career path that is exclusively rewarding but at the same time - can be financially impairing if it fails cos there's no going back. It's like the 2 edges of one extremely sharp sword, you can use it as a power tool to protect yourself with or you could hurt yourself if you don't know how to use it.

Patience!
The world watches and waits as the rush of a new generational breed of khats make their way onto the platforms that our predecessors have paved. If we don't expand and multiply - we will die! Powerful forces fight against you trying to seize that last bit of power that's in your hands.

So I'm taking this major risk and its exciting to think about. What I will not give up on.....
Is that addictive euphoria that comes from writing death defying bars, there's nothing like it.... it makes those long nights of commitment to invisible synths and trippy rhythms worth it - that entire flow was chasing that one dip of awesome.
Nothing is more insane then getting high over trippy syllable compositions once they've cooked up as your very own deadly concoctions...

So I'm watching footage from this last cypher session we had, and I'm realising that
I listen with sound samples in my head, It's like I rip content into waves in my mind and hear shit in layers before I absorb raps from a lingual place.... It's like creative listening.. How do you hear tune notes, shades & undertones before the words hit you??

Best thing I did for myself this year.... I stopped caring, I'm focused on this vision and I'm working on bringing it to life. Sometimes even those around you don't know where you come from with your craft, Where you are going with it and what it does for you.
I will always be an artist first and a writer second - there's a distinctive difference.
I reproduce and conceive concepts and themes into the fabric of sound in my flows to cook up insane concocted material coz I myself am a combination of many worlds as a human being.
I'm a visual aesthetic as that artwork of a designed surface....
All the artifacts stay the offspring of a beautiful mind of great ideas!

Grateful for that sense of direction that comes from re-discovering the little flames that burn on the inside. It stays the realest thing in my world over and above everything! I take pride in the fact that not everybody has it in them to struggle with their passions to the very end, thick & thin, standing true to themselves & loyal to what makes them come alive...... so I can feel accomplished for taking initiative in that respect..
