Starting with the #SAHHA13 top 30 and how the votes are going...
I went from 0.44% to 0.03% votes over 2980 votes today and I realize that this might not be working out.
Where would one even begin?
this is a really smart marketing tool for the #SAHHA 2013...
I'm wishing all the emcees up there good luck may the most favoured emcee there win!! I'm excited for all those who continue doing best in their campaigns.. as for me,
exams await me!
All I know right now is that there isn't yet a solid support/fan base in place to run this campaign successfully!
This base is certainly required to making that top 2 chop with votes. What you need are people behind you who believe in you & your skills enough to drive those numbers up and compete on that scale WITH YOU and to whom you can run those campaigns WITH.
TRUST ME... THERE'S VERY LITTLE THAT YOU CAN MANAGE TO DO ON YOUR OWN..
Without that audience developed and in place you are practically talking to nobody!!...
Right now and where I am with what I do... I really am just an artist who really loves what I do and will continue forward with it.
Still maaad excited I made top 30 though... that should be enough for right now.
About continuing the campaigning, right now it doesn't make sense to continue.... other than for simply advertising the SAHHAs.
Unless of course I don't mind going out and begging for those votes from people whom my craft hasn't connected with....
Other than working on top of dishonest votes
It could turn out to be a real waste of effort even if those pamphlets go out today in all that effort only to eventually not make that chop simply because it is not yet time for such exposure....
I really shouldn't be rushing into things like these so much.
Might try this again next year when there's enough going power to do justice to this opportunity.
There's very little you can do on your own. Support in this life is more important than having clothes on your back because nobody could really exist in isolation...
If the saying that ' together we stand divided we fall' is anything to go by,
than it's seeds have been proven by colonialism to be true... All 'they' had to do was break the African down and pit them against one another, break the unity apart and then from there they were able to conquer...
Self hate.. was one of the most important ideological weapons used against black people to break them apart. An inferiority complex was supported even by religious structures and govt. institutions perpetuating the propaganda that would allow for the conquering of the black race.
Belief systems so deeply entrenched that they begin to live in the air that we breathe as the poison that keeps those divides alive. People without a sense of unity do not know how to 'support' anybody else. There must be something in it for them because they don't see themselves at one with who ever it is they are ' supposed' to be supporting. They've lived in the lie so much that the truth looks like an illusion.
That separation is the ACTUAL illusion that we have been made to believe.
It is a lie, but what makes it true is the fact that we believe in it.. *The work of belief systems*
I've come to realize that politics is a daily practice taking place in the everyday interaction between ourselves and the people around us...
the idea that we hold of each other. The stereotypes that inform how we should treat each other.... The lines of respect are very slim in a world where all that mainstream media perpetuates is disrespect for the next person (seeds of separation).
Thinking about politics in daily interaction.....
do you take the submissive or the commanding end of daily interaction?
what are the powers that be.. allowing one to have rule over the other?
What do you believe about yourself?
Power comes in many forms....
But how you begin to tell the story of the young black female when social rejection is hanging at every corner and oppression comes not only from your racial polars but also from the males in your own family and circle..
The many cries of help went ignored.. it's so 'inferior' to an attention seeker
even if it is something that could save your life from the brewing turmoil going on in the inside.
There has never been any type of unity understood between the groups.
The problem,
You've always been alone in your life so why is all of this affecting you only now?
Too trusting how we put our faith in strangers.. you are in danger if you have that sense of unity that everybody else doesn't. Regardless of being in tune with your spirituality...
The social instability that separation creates has so much detail to it that it can go un-noticed at times...
You are powerless without support structures no matter what it is that you do... Even worse, It's harder to embrace female emcees in the social landscape that we currently exist in... These are the things that I'm learning in this journey as I proceed...
The one biggest frustration is the
people that come in and tell you stuff as if they know what it's like to be you...
that's some other form of oppression from people that think you should 'take the heat like a women' to me such people only just further perpetuate whatever suppression you are going through in their efforts to give you strength by making you unaffected by it when you are...
they expect you to fool yourself.
Developing political layers is important in this life.... coz this is a game that you need to play..
In order to survive you need to cut yourself loose from everyone and everything and oppress everyone that you can oppress... find your power and make it work for you.. go in and continue the destruction, destroy whatever you can destroy and whoever you can destroy...
you need to do that because that is the kind of world that we live in and as a game u are in without choice ...you need to play or die!!!
Until you develop an evil layer... you won't have the power to even fight for good.
